Are Ayder tours private or shared?
Both exist. Private tours are the usual choice for families: your own vehicle and driver, flexible departure and stops. Shared tours are cheaper but follow a fixed time and route.
Is a 4x4 needed for Pokut and Sal?
Yes for the upper tracks. The roads to the high plateaus are narrow, unpaved in parts and often wet, so tours use 4x4 vehicles with local drivers rather than standard cars.
Do guides speak Arabic or English?
Arabic and English speaking drivers and guides are available in the region, but not on every departure. Tell us your language when you request and we will confirm before booking.
